![]() ![]() You know that four is better than two and it doesn't take much to convince people about that.īut the obsession with absolutes means that true design innovation has gone out the window. ![]() How fast is it? What is the storage capacity? How big is the screen? How sharp is it? In essence, this is a comfortable space to compete in. It is an industry where there is an obsession about product attributes that one can measure empirically. In fact, the phone industry has become incredibly conservative from a design perspective. HTC looks at them both and the Chinese borrow design cues from everyone. Deciding if x3 bar is a REAL workout that can get gains and if sugar.fit is a viable alternative.Smartphones are getting bigger, sleeker and more powerful. Thanks in advance.ĭue to serious pelvic instability need to work out barefoot at home. A true home gym really isn't an option bc I live in a row home in a major city and our basement ceiling isn't high enough to do any overhead or jump workouts and I'm not going to be dropping dumbbells on my 2nd story wood floor.ĪNY help and info on any of this would be really appreciated. Resistance Bands: This and bodyweight exercises will be my go-to option until I save enough for the x3 and i see that the x3 bar and culture aren't some quick fad. #Candybar vs smartphone professionalI would buy the floor anchor and Candy Bar just for the equipment even if the company is about to fold bc the DIY budget for the same rig would be around $100 and I'd gladly pay the $60 premium to have a professional shop make it for me.ĭoes anyone have ANY insight into sugar.fit? Does anyone here own a Candy Bar "rig"? I just need to know if their setup works cause if so I'll just go off that advice and do x3 workouts with the Candy Bar. I figure one of two things: Sugar Fitness is a scam or they're in some sort of lawsuit with x3 (it's basically the exact same system but cheaper) or with PopSugar Fitness (an exercise company that has tons of videos all over the web). The sugar.fit website doesn't even have a means of contacting the company for any unanswered questions. Not on Twitch, Youtube or even a Google video search. This seems like the PERFECT answer for me but there are huge caveats: the website says they air live Twitch videos every day at noon PST however upon investigating there are NO workout videos anywhere. Sugar Fitness Candy Bar: Candy Bar is basically a simplified x3 Bar system from Sugar Fitness (sugar.fit) that lets you use your own bands and the entry cost is only $160 (for the bar and floor anchor board). The community support from the company and its users seems pretty robust and I can easily access YouTube videos. Also I would like to use the couple heavy duty bands I already own to mitigate costs (is this an option with an x3 bar? I use WODfitters). However the $550 cost is borderline prohibitive entry cost and from what I can tell the x3 bar needs to be used with x3 bands (true or no?) which makes tailoring workouts more expensive too. X3 Bar: x3 Bar is something that got me interested in home gym resistance band strength training even being an option. It's just a no-go.Įnter: x3 bar () Candy Bar (sugar.fit) foot/door/pole-anchored resistance band training ![]() So home workouts are a necessity bc I'm not working out in public spaces barefoot. I have vibram toe shoes but even those don't give me enough tactile feel to know I'm stabilizing my feet and core correctly. Now that I've done a good job getting back to a somewhat normal healthy body I would like to continue to use resistance bands from my therapy sessions and translate that into regular gym use. 5 years later and after intense research and PT discovered I have serious posterior chain activation/pelvic stabilization issues. Threw my back out several times from squatting heavy but thought that was due to poor form despite my personal trainer watching and observing what he thought was good movement. Got into lifting heavy around 25 but could never achieve gains. Broke my left ankle on that same side my junior year in college. If you're still reading then let me set the stage: varsity endurance athlete in high school, shut it all down due to severe IT Band syndrome on my left knee my junior year. First let me start by pointing out I have NO reddit history bc I deleted my old u/ a couple years ago and just decided to jump back into reddit for the exercise communities. ![]()
